Hi I am new to devcoin and alternative currencies.

I am raising money to move to Lincoln NE and setup my new office. I run a semi-successful Tax Business but I need a bigger Customer Base, which Casper, Wyoming cannot provide. I also will be expanding my business by hiring more employees, setting up a new information system and network, paying off old debt and buying a building. My business is veteran owned and operated.

I am a retired Marine who has a fiance and two children still living with me. I received one Associate's Degree, three Bachelor's degrees, Three Master's Degrees and one Doctorate since I took early retirement in 2004. While the degrees give me a powerful position and standing, they also over-qualify me for regular jobs.

I wish to return to Lincoln because I went to the University of Nebraska where I received my first Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration in Information Systems Management. I did my other Bachelor's Degrees, my three Master's and my Doctoral Degree online.

Additionally, I will be helping veterans in the off tax season to help them achieve help from agencies and start counseling groups for general support, PTSD, Alcoholism, and Drug Abuse. I am a war-time veteran and it will be my job to help veterans help themselves. For the jobs, I will give veterans a preferred status when considering hiring, as well as in the future.  I will also help homeless veterans and disabled veterans find the help that they might need. My fellow veterans need more advocates and somerimes help to keep a certain standard of living and a good qualitie of life.

I have been doing faucets, mining BTC, Doge and Quarks as well as setting up addresses to gain coins in my wallets. My intention is to get enough knowedge and expertise in altcoins to help clients who deal with such currencies and, as they exchange such currencies to USD, to help them with tax preparation as they are not hit too hard by taxes, if they are U.S. Citizens or residents.
As it stands: as long as you do not exchange the alternative currencies to USD and then put them in your bank account, alternative currencies are not taxable. However the USD that you deposit to your Bank account is considered self-employment income and is taxable. The IRS will be making banks report large deposits to them and who the money belongs to.

The nice thing is that while it is income, every expense generating alternative currencies such as the cost of your mining rig, usbminers, electricity, your internet, costs of computers is deductable. You can either take the full cost of the equipment outright or you can do a 3 year depreciation for computers, software and peripherals. In otherwords, you take the total cost divide it by 3 and then use each third as a deduction for this year and then a third for next year with the last third the year after next.

For example you build a mining rig for $4500 this year. You decide to depreciate the equipment over three years. So in for 2014, 2015, and 2016 taxes, you can take a 1500.00 depreciation expense each year on your Schedule C.
It is better to report all USD Income, as I said the IRS is leaning on banks to report all deposits, but legally banks only report deposits greater than $10,000 or if the money comes from a foreign bank account. So be careful Besides you can get an earned income credit as a single person and no dependants if you earn around 9,000 USD per year for U.S. Citizens. It is more if you have children. (Plus a child tax credit for each child of up to 1000.00)
Also set up a savngs account and put aside about 15% of your deposits in that account. One it is gives you a nest egg to cover any taxes that you may incur (Self employment tax covers Social Security and Medicare) two what is left over can be put into an IRA for your retirement. It is never too early to save for your retirement. You can set up your IRA at your local bank. It is also a tax deduction, off of the next years taxes. For example you set aside say 3000.00 in your savings account to cover your taxes. after you figure your 2014 taxes and you owe say 1000 USD, it gives you 2000 USD left over. You can either put half into an IRA and then have a 1000.00 in your savings account as well as 1000 in your IRA that you setup with your bank. the 1000 USD Contribution is tax deductable for your 2015 taxes. You can then decide what to do with that other 1000 USD you should keep it as a "rainy day" fund and then setup another Savings account for your taxes. basically save 15% and then forget that it is there or save for something big, like maybe a house or a car.
