Mac OS X GUI Client Needs to be Updated

Hi

The Mac OS X GUI client crashes every time I open it for the second time. So I have to reinstall it if I ever want to open it for a second time…

Definitely needs to be fixed. Looks pretty outdated too. No developer console or anything.

I am running OS X 10.8.5.

If anyone knows a fix then let me know. :)

Found a solution!

In the terminal change the directory to Devcoin.app/Contents/MacOS

If you don't know much about terminal go into it and type the command followed by a space and DO NOT press return: cd

Then drag the app into the terminal window and it should place the address in there for you.

Then enter the command: cd Contents/MacOS

Then run the following command: ./devcoin -reindex

This will fix this problem. The good thing is once you have done it you shouldn't have to do it again. If this isn't the case it's there if you need it.

Hi, I'm new here and I'm having a similar issue.  When I try to open the devcoin app it just bounces in the tray and never opens and I end up having to force quit.  I tried the solution you provide but it doesn't seem to have solved my problem.  I'm using osx 10.8.4.  If you could tell me where the wallet file is located that would be useful to me as well, I'd like to back it up.  Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It appears this isn't working for me anymore either. *Sigh*

The wallet.dat file is located in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Devcoin/wallet.dat

The easiest way to fix the problem for the time being is to delete everything EXCEPT the wallet.dat file and then load the application.

We just have to wait for a fix it seems.

I am working on a MAC build environment so when I get it working hopefully should be able to provide updated binaries
