Ok so a LARGE number of questions are asked of me regarding devtome and how to post things, or how many shares are isseud each round, when is the next round ending etc.... so I am going to make a list of FAQ and go through and answer as many of them as I can and refer people here for answers.  Feel free to add to this thread any questions u may have but as I am constantly getting asked questions I'll have to make a list and work through it so please bear with me, and if anyone knows or wants to write a good answer then please feel free to chip in

What is a share currently worth?
45,000 DVC per block goes to shares on the receiver files.  Receiver rounds last 4000 blocks, so 180,000,000 Devcoins are avaliable per round.  1 share is worth 180,000,000 divided by the total number of shares in the round. (Obviously only the total number of shares are known at the end of the round but you can estimate the total by running scripts.... see FAQ "Is there a way to find out how many shares are being given out for the upcoming round")

When is the next round of shares being paid out?
Each round of receiver files pays out every 4000 blocks when the last round has finished.  Devcoin has a continuously adjusting difficulty to try and keep block generation as stable as possible, and this means each round last approximately 1 month.

Is there a way to find out how many shares are being given out for the upcoming round (25?) before the deadline?
Anyone can run the python scripts contained in the source code by unthinkingbit https://raw.github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity/master/devtome.py but there is a user that was running the script daily as it was of great interest to many so this maybe a thing that someone else maybe wants to take over. http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=daily_script_results

How do I create an account on devtome?
