Payout for receiver files happens every 4000 blocks.... the next block for it to start is 92000 and 4000 blocks takes about 1 month.

current devcoin block is 91483 so about 4-5 days left on the receiver 22 file, then will move into the receiver 23 round. Currently all writing on devtome is working towards receiver file 24. So work you do now will be paid out in about 2 months time (1 month receiver file being filled, 1 month payingout previous receiver file.

Hope this is clear and helps :)

I think it would be helpful to set up like a thread (or preferably a spreadsheet) that shows all the information going on. Such as:

07/11/2013 | Receiver 22 | Block 22000 | 599 Shares | 6000 DVC/Share
08/11/2013 | Receiver 23 | Block 26000 | 777 Shares | 1931 DVC/Share

These numbers are all made up, of course, but it would help organize everything going in to the future so everyone can keep up. Would also help show trends.

I have wrote around 2600 words since last night on devtome, how many shares would I get? How many shares would I know are being given out to work out how many DVC per share? Can I check the receivers? Also when would the payout be that I have done?

Lol, lots of questions!

Payout would happen in around 2 months. 2600 words is 2 shares. The number of shares total won't be known until this receiver period closes (as it will keep increasing until then).

I wrote @15,000 words + signing on bonus. It comes in 45,000 dvc generated per block, with 5,000 staying with the miners.

Edit: whoa there's 180,000 maturing in my wallet now. Show me the devcoin? I see them, I see them!

For 15,000 words you'll get 15 shares and a share depends on how many contributors there are.  The more people contribute the smaller the shares become.  Round 24 had around 1300 shares as opposed to 501 for the previous round so the value of 1 share went down to 149,955 from 359,000 coins.

I'm sure you know this but in case any new guys read this that's how it works.  There's no way to know how many people are writing and contributing in any given round but as devcoin and devtome get more popular one would expect shares to go up driving share value down.  One hopes the actual value will go up to compensate for this effect.
